About the Job
THE THERAPIST is a small but memorable supporting role opposite Isaiah. Calm, observant, grounded, and emotionally present, the Therapist provides an ordinary human counterweight to Isaiah's increasingly strange experience. The performance should be understated and completely believable. The humor and unease surrounding the scenes come from what happens around the conversation, not from the Therapist behaving strangely. Seeking a performer with excellent listening skills, subtle reactions, naturalistic delivery, and the ability to remain fully present while another actor carries much of the dialogue. Unknown and emerging actors are encouraged to submit.
